Many "work trucks" sold to farmers and landowners are also diesel as they tow trailers more effectively, so rural farming communities are also likely to have diesel readily available.

Having said that, to my eternal shame I dropped the only point in my test because I parallel-parked to far from the curb... and I was driving a VW Golf! And to think that less than a year earlier I could park in a space just inches longer than my car in just a few seconds. Another year or two and my driving skills will have atrophied to the point that I won't even be able to use my indicators. Next, the urge to talk on the phone, eat a burger and put on make-up (I'm a bloke) whilst driving at 70mph in traffic on the freeway. Finally, the need to use drive-through cash machines, fit a gun-rack and wait 15 minutes for a space less than 10 feet from the Walmart entrance doors!

Re: What car should we purchase?
Thank you for all your help. We have a short list of 4 cars.
Honda Accord (good pedagree safe choice)
Toyota Corolla (simular to the Honda)
Mazda 8 (looks good)
Hyudai Sonata (the press seem to think it is a good car, very good price)
We think 4 cars are about our limit for looking round.
Thanks
Tiny

I would think that the Hyundi would depriciate quite a bit, not fancy a Subaru?

Diesel can freeze but not if an additive is used. They I believe though are really to be driven every day and are designed for high mileage drivers so I am not sure it would be suitable for short runs etc.
