What is the average time to get a notice of receipt from San Jose's INS. I dropped my documnets in September 5, 2002?

It should be interesting to see how long it takes compared to Texas, my registered mail confirmed it was delivered to the TSC on Sept 5th also... I'll let you know when we get our NOA... please make sure to post when you do as well so we can compare.

I'm already getting impatient because I've seen others that say they got it in a matter of days and I'm still waiting....

Some people get in 5 days. I sould have sent by certified mail. At least I would know that they got it. I'm planning to visit INS (if it is help). I'm not sure. It is just simple receipt notice.

It took me about 2 weeks to get one back from the Texas office. Now I am waiting
again about the 2 weeks from the Missouri office.....waiting seems to be a vital part
of this process....lol. But I have a lot of patience.

We finally received our NOA from Texas yesterday Sep 14th (they received I-130 on Sept 5)

Not too bad... now to send off the I-129F and wait again.

All 129F petitions go to Chicago no matter where the petitioner lives right?

Ours was confirmed delivered to the TSC on the same day Susie. I was
getting worried we hadn't heard anything from them yet. It will be
interest to see who gets their NOA first lol. Well Susie you beat us lol Congrats

I am going through the San Jose office as well and my attorney sent in my paperwork on July 15th and received receipt approximately 12 days later. Shortly after, she received the appointment letter for the EAD for Aug 20th. The EAD was issued within 20 minutes...no waiting, just be in time for your appointment.
