Waxy toddles off down to Florida......
Yo
looks like my phone calls necessitate the obvious - for me to travel down to Florida......so looks like next week, probably tuesday, we'll be driving down there, and going to loads of sea side towns looking for potential cruise ship jobs.......

If I were you, I'd fly to Florida and hire a car at the Florida end. It's probably at least 15 hours non-stop and you'd be out of your mind to do it without stopping at least four times (other drivers will be thankful that you took restbreaks).

Im looking mainly more at the daily casinos, for which there are no agencies.
My other lead is from my old GM back in Blighty, he may have a cruise lined up, he is getting back to me.
Its funny really when I think about it........all those holiday makers who fall in love with Florida, wanna move there, buy a house etc.....heres me, and neither me or my wife have ever set foot in Fl!
Penguin, too late, Ive already been to NC, around the outer banks, Ocracoke etc and you couldnt catch me!
Its more like 20hrs + for the drive too, but we shall probably make a road trip of it. My wifes nan is gonna come with us and show us around, she often goes down to Fl!

If you are looking for a job in a casino and you don't get an offer for work on a cruise ship, you might want to check out the huge "Foxwoods" Casino and the "Mohegan Sun" casino resorts. Both are based in Connecticut and on Indian Reservations.

Im a dealer/inspector, for over 5 yrs........
Waiting on a couple of leads.......
Gonna have to fly down now though as my wifes nan can not make the trip with us
- and surprisingly, Ive not found many cheap direct flights from Baltimore to Florida?!
As for getting a real job - maybe in the future
