Of course they'll go after Iran the yanks are still sulking from the hostage affair in the pre Reagan era.
After all they are dropping the number of troops 'protecting' Japan in favour of a Jap defence force

Using that line of reasoning then we would go back into Viet Nam. I highly doubt if that would happen......
Most likely the reason they are cutting back the troops in Japan would be in line with the troops needed in Iraq.
There was a great cutback in the military strength during the Clinton administration-my ex was a victim of that.
