Wanted: Carpet Cleaner That WORKS!!
Hi
We've discovered a couple of stains in the carpet behind the dining table - thanks to one of our little dogs... didn't notice it for a day or 2...
Trued "Tech" stain remover, and also the Rug Doctor machine - not good enough...
Any other suggestions - anything equivalent to Vanish Carpet Foam in the UK?
Cheers

Resolve.
It's pretty good, especially against animal accidents...blood and wine.

Rug Doctor machines are useless....but the new rug doctor http://buy.rugdoctor.com/cleaning-pr...rmula-kit.html is GREAT you can use it in any other brand name machine or just put direct onto the carpet and scrub, I bought mine in Wal-Mart

Any foam carpet cleaner - Think my last one was Target's own.
Spray it on stain and surrounding area, leave for 30 minutes.
Give stain a damned good scrubbing with a wet scrubbing brush.
Dab up excess wetness with Bounty.
Leave to dry overnight and then vacuum throughly.
Give stain another rub over with a damp cloth dipped in diluted disinfectant.
My little dog was quite poorly through the night a couple of times last year and this method worked wonders on my cream carpets.

Distilled white vinegar and warm water. If it's a bad stain, make it damp, throw on some salt and rub. Vacuum the salt up and then rub it with the vinegar/water mix. Never had a pet stain that didn't come out with that and the only time I used salt was a dropped cup of black coffee on a cream carpet.

Spot Shot is the best I've ever used.

Turns out shes a Slovak.

It's worth remembering for those toddler potty training days that failed. Ordinary washing powder, both bio and non bio, wouldnt get rid of the smell from urine soaked clothes. But chuck a cup of plain white vinegar in the washing machine and hey presto, no more smell! Also helps with smelly sneakers.
