It always makes me smile when the yanks describe someone as having a spunky attitude and in one of my wife's year books they actually had a poll on the girls who where full of the most spunk, she is now appalled since living in the UK and finding out what we refer to as spunk because she was one of the shortlisted

Soggy biscuit is not one of the most depraved games that i've heard of but its close, a co-worker was in the paras and one of thier favourite games whilst drunk was called freckles, it comprised of taking a shit on a log and placing on a camp fire until bubbling then they would all gather around and someone would smack it with a stick then the one with the most freckles on thier face would win the money.

There is also a brand of chocolates called Fanny Farmer Chocolates. So if you don't want to eat your Otis Spunkmeyer cookies you could always find some Fanny Farmers!

Just had my first Spunkmeyer cookie! Was in a Whitehall hotel and they had a little oven with the name on. Probably been over here for years and I've never even noticed!
Actually moving on to importing good American grub - in Victoria station they had a Cinnabon for about 3-4months and the smell was just gorgeous, but I guess the thought of eating a day's worth of calories with your coffee wasn't tempting enough to most British commuters! On the other hand Krispy Kremes in Harrods is a runaway success, I've been there 3 times and each time I go, people are buying boxes of 12s and the queue is at least 20 deep. Hopefully they'll open some more around London soon!
