Default Voting Early & Often

I remember in the 80s Maggie made it law that ex-pats culd still vote in UK elections, is this still the case ? If so how do u goabout it ?

Go to your council now and register as an overseas elector- they'll give you all forms and info.
You can vote by post or proxy in General or European elections for up to 15 years after you leave UK, but you must register every year.
We vote by proxy because voting by post can't really be done in time from the US.

I got my registration form through from Merton council yesterday, it is on the chair behind me as I type. I think that, to stay on the electoral roll, you need to re-register each year though.
