Volunteer work America
Hi there,
Im after some advice. I've been offered a volinteer position with the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga working with students with disabilities, I'm wondering what VISA i would have to apply for as the possition could run until Next May which would take me over my 3 months with the visa waiver program that i quallify for.
Any help is much appreciated.

Volunteer work that is seasonal might lend itself to a J visa. Have you asked the University about visas?

I have asked the question but waiting to hear back. I believe they would have all the information with regards to Visa's as the are a University that has exchange students which would require them to arrange\help students with applying for visa's.
I thought i would come on here as they sometimes take a while to reply. I'll have a look a J visa's. Many thanks.

Sounds like a J1....certainly wouldn't do the work on the VWP.
