So, they do "visa hops" - leave the US for a week, and then come back again for another 90 days. However Canada, Mexico, and the Carribbean are deemed to be US territory, you have to go to South America, Europe, or Asia for the visa hop to be effective. |

The rule of thumb is to use the visa waiver no more than once or twice a year. There is no fixed rule, but INS will get suspicious if you use the visa waiver too often. > > Sometimes people need to come here for short work-related posting, longer than 90 > days but not long enough to make it worthwhile jumping through the hoops for a work > visa. These countries are contiguous to the US, and the visa waiver law doesn't allow "flag-poling" through these countries. -Joe |

Hello mate
Don't know but main thing is being able to convince immigration when yocome back in that you DO expect to return - that you aren't after Perrmanent Residence ie, have a return ticket/job/property/interests in the UK. If you overstay the 90 days it is not too bad- but is if you stay more than 180 days after that then you can get in a lot of shit- you will be barred and will have to get unbarred. As in all cases- consult a lawyer Simon "paulc" <[email protected]> wrote in message news:[email protected]... > Hi > > Does anyone know how long a British person has to leave America before returning on > the 3 month Visa waiver > ie.
