Default visa granted london yipppeeee!!!!!

Hi

I had my I 130 visa interview on friday at the london embassy. I got there at 7.55am and noticed that I seemed to be the only one without their partner - was second through the gate, went into the embassy and waited only a few minutes before being called to give in a few of my forms and paying $260. Sat down and then 15 minutes later was called to another booth the man asked me to sign my form in front of him looked at my paperwork and said, right you can go the doctors - I asked when my interview was and he said that was it ! He didnt ask me anything. I was back outside in 30 minutes - walked straight to the doctors, paid the fee and waited for medical - whole thing lasted until just before 11 o'clock.

Had to go back the embassy at 12 o'clock and got my visa at 1 o'clock.

It was great - no worries - the staff were brilliant and if like me you are worried about going alone don't be it made no difference. I can now travel to Ohio in 3 weeks time to see my husband and I am so excited!

Thanks for all the letters of encouragement

good luck

Gill

Congratulations, it's always good to hear someone has some luck. I have all that to
look forward to and will be walking the same corridors at the London embassy as you
did when I go through that process later in the year.

Is is common to have their fiance's at the interview? I unfortunately, cannot make it
to London when she gets her interview May29... I am closing on our new house June 1.

Will the officer decline her the visa because I am not with her?

No, it isn't expected for a K-1. For A DCF I-130, since the USC has to live in the
UK, I would think it would be normal.

No, not at all.

It isn't a requirement for you to be there )

Good Luck and don't worry....London is a breeze providing you have all your
paperwork.

You'll do fine )

Gillian,

Reading through your time-line has made me happy. My cheque was cashed by the INS
in London 5 weeks ago, and I was starting to panic, as I have heard Nothing. My
US wife has gone back to Maryland today, to start getting things prepared (buy a
car, computer, looking at prperties etc) So I hope mine goes as quickly and
smoothly as yours.

Congratulations and Good luck for the future. Roger (+ Ida)

Congratulations! This gives me hope. I'm waiting for my English husband to get his
visa so that we can start our life together. Married in Wokingham March 2, had to fly
home to Louisiana March 12, filed shortly after and haven't seen him since! Good to
hear good news from others.

I like the order of priority: car, computer, house! Perhaps it should even be
computer, car, house? Personally, a ride-on lawnmower is in my top 10...
