Only a handful of DVD players in the states have a built in PAL to NTSC converter but this one does and it's cheap. Quick hack - eject tray, 7, 8, 9, ok, 0 power off, power on
and now the kids (and me) are watching Bod, The Flumps and Bagpuss!!
I have heard that the cyberhone DVD play skips every now and again, but no problems with the Philips.
