18 month to 36 months from what I've read and while his lawyers were trying to get it below a year, I doubt that will happen. As for his NFL career, I'd say it's over. He will miss the next two years due to his sentence and I would bet that Roger Goodell the NFL commish, will come down hard with a league suspension that may not fully run with his jail time, meaning he'd be the wrong side of 30 by the time he is allowed back into the NFL. The league has handed out some reasonably tough suspensions already this year and Vick lied to the commish's face when he told him he wasn't involved during a meeting on draft day 2007.

He's actually getting off lightly and his "friends" who already made their plea's, may have actually saved him a much stiffer sentence had it gone to trial. Vick has been hyped up ever since he entered the league and it's all been unjustified and he has never really fully developed into the player a lot of pundits thought he'd be. They just couldn't see past his amazing speed and ability to avoid a tackle. He's a 130 million dollar flop.

I've just been listening to an interview by a friend and former team play of Vick's on TV. He claims Vick is being treated too harshly and we should consider his wife and kids. Yeah Vick is a great role model to his kids.

His local NAAACP chapter is defending him, however the Interim CEO of the NAACP was on NBC this morning saying that Vick has admitted his responsibility for his actions and that the national office is not supporting this.

One of Vick's Basketball friends said that Dog Fighting is just like Deer Hunting. Even the PETA rep said that this was nonsense.

He deserves to have one of his dogs maul him. I have a rescue dog (Pit/Beagle) who was used as a bate dog for fighting. She is the sweetest dog. All the scars could make you cry. It turns my stomach to hear about this stuff. He is going to hell for sure.
