Default A# versus Non immigrant visa number

Hello,

I entered the U.S. with K-3 Visa. "US. immigration officer" at airport wrote an "A" following with 8-digits number (in this format --> A xx xxx xxx) into my K-3 visa page and in my I-94. I confirm that these A-xx xxx xxx were written when I arrived the U.S. not from U.S embassy in my country.

What are those numbers? Are they A# or Alien registration number??.

I am going to submit I-485 and G-325A. There are a few boxes in those forms to be filled in.

Some box is called A#, some is called nonimmigration visa number, and some is called Alien registration number.
Are those 3 names the same?

Is this immigrant visa number???

Please help clarify.

Thanks.

Hi All!

The A# or Alien registration number are the same number and is the number
on the I-94 card
The immigrant visa number is on the visa placed in the passport by the the
embassy. Kind of like the visa's serial number.

Take care,

Mike
