Vermont re-submission

We had to re-submit our application to Vermont. Something was left out in the initial package we sent. That requirement has been satisfied and we know everything else is complete. How long will it take to get back on the track withing the Vermont Center? Will we have to wait another 30 to 45 days until the next step? We are feeling excrutiating waiting pains. It's murderous! We need to have our minds put at ease!!!!!!! Any info?

It usually takes a couple of weeks I think but Vermont is damn fast, (went through there myself, just under three months for the whole process from start to finish).

If you want excrutiating, try Texas or Nebraska! (Known as the black holes of processing).

:scared:

Depends on what the application is for. My experience was that EAD (work permit) and Advance Parole were quick, but it took 2 years to approve I485 - I had to be fingerprinted twice!

How quick is quick? I should be mailing my stuff, (AOS et al) up to VSC within the next few days or so and a rough idea would be pretty useful.

Cheers. :)

156thSt.... don't know about K-1 visas... sorry! You might look in the immigration forums on this site for more info on that, or go to www.immigration.com for useful info.

FlyergirlUK... my approx. timeline was:
initial filing of AOS packet (including I765, I485, I131 and bio info) Jan 2 2002.
Received Advance Parole end Jan 2002
Received EAD middle Feb 2002 (that was quick, supposed to be 3 months)
Fingerprinted Mar 2002
Fingerprinted again August 2003
AOS approval Jan 16 2004

Note this was an employment-based AOS application.

The EAD's (work permits) may be a little slower now, I know that VSC slowed down dramatically in the last couple of years! That was frustrating!

For a more up-to-date straight-from-the-horses-mouth idea of processing times at VSC, go to http://uscis.gov and click on the Processing dates link on the main page.

To both of you: good luck! And be patient, and thorough with your paperwork!
