Vegas Weddings!!

My husband and I married at the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas in April. It was quite simply a brill brill day. Elvis sang to us..yes the real one. We got T.Shirts and Champagne flutes and a DVD from the Chapel, too cool. After we had a fab dinner at Roys Restaurant... Oh memories! Anyway I wonder who else got married in Vegas, which chapel and how it all went? ;)

I got married in the Viva chapel. We had a night time outdoor gazebo wedding and I was surprised at how nice it was. The location was a bit crappy but the actual bit where our wedding was, was really nice. We had a fantastic minister and whilst I'd been worried about it all being a bit tacky, he was great and said all the right things.

We stayed at The Luxor which I wasn't too keen on. It's a bit jaded and could benefit from a revamp, but I cleaned up in the casino so loved it for that. In fact I did so well in the casino that the only time I left the hotel was to get married.

I'll defo go back to Vegas but would stay somewhere else. Prob the Mandalay.

My wife and I were married at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Vegas.

The tux I wore was provided by them but we purchased my wife’s gown. We had the use of their limo to get the marriage license and then to the wedding itself.

We had a fantastic time. When we got back from our honeymoon, we were watching TV about weddings in the Grand Canyon and the same minister that performed our ceremony (Ron Porras) was on the show.

We also had a video taken of the wedding and the chapel created a PAL copy so my mother in England could have a copy.

The funniest part of the day was our photographer who looked just like Sammy Davis Jnr.

Very cool! We got married at Viva Las Vegas last April (2003) by Elvis also. We stayed at Mandalay Bay. It was SO MUCH fun! We did the live webcam for the wedding too!

Leaving from Mandalay Bay...

Vegas is a great place for a wedding.

Elvis :scared: That is so cool. We had the option put turned it down. There was also a drive thru wedding available. When our ceremony was over, we got changed and sat outside for a while (ciggy time) and watched cars drive thru to get married. One car was full of drunk teens shouting and screaming  That will last :)

I'd recommend Vegas to anyone that wants something different for a wedding and not have to go through the church rigmarole. Everything you need is in Vegas and the chapels take care of everything. All you need is a wallet and a partner :D

Can a fully positionable, one-of-a-kind, Hand painted, 21" tall, machined brass, Cernit head and handed, German glass eyes sporting, black wool crepe hair wearing, jeweled jumpsuited wooden sandaled Elvis (with articulated armature) actually be an ordained minister?

probably, but only in Nevada.

:D

Chris, go to www.vivalasvegasweddings.com I'm sure if you call and specifically ask for a fat japanese elvis, they would find you one.

Why a couple of years?? Live for today!!!

Re: Vegas Weddings!!

The photographer at Viva was the most annoying person I've ever encountered. Other than that I really liked the place and they were pretty slick in making it all go smoothly. There wasn't a line of brides and grooms waiting either, so it didn't feel at all like a conveyor belt.
