Where can i find info about vaccination requirements of the alien fiancee applying for k1 visa. Is this really required? I have heard that there are health risk involve in vaccinations. Is there a waiver for this?
Hope to hear from members of this group.

Which country is your fiancé in?

There is no way to get a waiver because of the general health risk of vaccinations. The US is a very pro-vaccination country, and you wouldn't find an awful lot of people agreeing with you - especially when the person taking the risk is an immigrant.

If there is a specific health concern, such as an albumin allergy, then it is possible to get a waiver but you would have to give sufficient proof from a doctor.

It may also be possible to claim a religious exemption.

As best I can tell, the vaccination requirements differ depending on where in the
world the foreign fiancee resides. Whatever US consulate/embassy is involved usually
sends a list of certified doctors/hospitals in the K-1 packets that the foreign
fiancee receives. In some cases the foreign fiancee' may not have a choice, it's just
"go here for the exam". Anyway, these doctors/hospitals know the proper vaccination
requirements for their region.

There is probably a list of these requirements by country somewhere (maybe the Kamya
K-1 site?), but I can't remember.

Regards, Tim

Assuming from your address that you will be using London the following link tells you
what the US Embassy in London says about vaccinations.

http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_web...iv/vaccine.htm

On the day of the medical the doctor will tell you what vaccinations you need and you
will be given the option of having them there and then or having them done elsewhere.
As long as they are done by AOS it's not a problem.

Click on "Vaccination Chart" to see the requirements.
