I'm going to throw a sickie while i'm there in 2 weeks time, and sit around the pool drinking cocktails. Or maybe I could hold all my meetings in the spa

The Carolinas are nice if you like 90+ degree weather and 95% humidity!! Though it is nice(r) and cool(er) in the western areas in the mountains. We do have some nice beaches with warm Atlantic water rather than the cold stuff in the Pacific!

Maine.

Bar Harbor if you want to go on a whale watch and if the CAT is back up and running a day trip to Nova Scotia. It's a pretty busy area during the summer hols though but lots of mountains, horse riding, golf, sea/lake activities and breweries.

Also have the whole coastal route 1A area going out through Belfast, Camden, Rockland. You could eat lobster at a different shack for break, lunch and dinner, including lobster ice cream and beer if you wanted
Oh yes please.

Son's MIL rented a house for a week on Bailey's Island a few years ago, just off the coast from Brunswick. They all (son and DIL went also) enjoyed it thouroughly.

Sadly I won't be going back to NI this summer. I priced flights for myself and my 5 year old and they are $1000+ each

If you plan on going to Nasa, pop into a Randalls store on the way. They have 50% off vouchers

I'm moving to Houston in a couple weeks. Parents visit shortly afterwards. We want to go to NASA. What do we have to do to get a coupon?

We shop in Tom Thumbs, which is the same as Randalls.....

A lot of the grocery stores have them at cut price during summer vacation time, just check at the curtesy booths in the stores.

When we first moved here going to NASA was free! Now it's all commercialized and costs a lot of money

The ones Randalls have at the moment expire at the end of May, but they usually get ones in. You just pick them up from the help desk. CVS sometimes have them as well but we gave up asking and went to Randalls instead.

What about Jackson Hole/Teton Village, Wyoming. Some gorgeous hotels and nice restaurants and shops in that area for the ski set, and spectacular scenery, Grand Teton National Park and wildlife right on the doorstep.
