V-visa travel
Hi,
I stay in the U.S. I just got an approval notice for my V1 visa. I need to travel to my home country.
What is the procedure for me to return to the U.S on my V1 visa? Should I go to the U.S consulate in my home country, and get the V1 visa stamped on my passport?
Or will I have to reapply for a new V1 visa in my home country?

You will need to apply for a V-1 visa at a US consulate. I'm not sure
about the procedure, and would strongly recommend that you consult with a
competent immigration attorney before leaving, especially if you at any
point in time were out of status.

You need to make an appt. first for the v-visa interview.
Go to the chennai consulate web site. They give the procedure.You have to do the medical exam again even though you have the approval. Also you may have to produce police certificate. This site below also gives some info:
