V-visa travel

Hi,
I stay in the U.S. I just got an approval notice for my V1 visa. I need to travel to my home country.

What is the procedure for me to return to the U.S on my V1 visa? Should I go to the U.S consulate in my home country, and get the V1 visa stamped on my passport?

Or will I have to reapply for a new V1 visa in my home country?

Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Interesting question. What is your current immigration status?

Info on the process for changing status is here:

What paperwork was originally filed?
Where? consulate or in the US?

If you filed in the consulate, then you would normally have to go there
to get the visa.

If you are in the US, you should file I-539 in the US to change status.

Thanks for the reply. I filed in the U.S. Probably I'll have to go to my home country to get the visa stamped on my passport!
