Using the AP in POE Miami
My husband was granted AP for him to attend his mother's funeral. He came into the US on a K1 and we married and filed AOS papers, EAD and AP. What is his current status? Is there anything that INS was supose to stamp in his passport that states he is applying for change of status? He was told to have that AP papers with the passport at all times. I also understand he will have to go back into a special room in Miami to process that AP any idea of what questions are asked?
Thanks

Re: Using the AP in POE Miami
They only stamp the passport once they have approved the AOS. His current
status is pending permanent resident. He should *only* carry the AP
paperwork with him when travelling abroad and should also leave his passport
in a safe place except when travelling abroad or visiting the INS office
once he has the EAD. He can carry the EAD with him in a wallet - it suffices
for the "registration" document.
