Now that we can no longer mail anything to the UK via "surface" mail, has anyone found a cheaper alternative to using the US postal service (i.e. does UPS or DHL have a cheaper option)?

When the postage rates changed. We now have to pay $.90 for a regular letter and all mail goes air. It's ridiculous!

What's wrong with paying 90 cents? I think it's a bargain and mail usually arrives in a couple of days. When did the rate change from 84 cents?

I think it changed when the postage rate went up a few weeks ago.

The USPS? They once sent a Christmas card back to me because it was 'too small'.

I've just checked and it is 90 cents...oh well I guess I'll have to get myself a load of 'make up' stamps.

I think the postage rates went up in May.

I just wack on three stamps always have done since being over here. I read today that our Royal mail is letting all packages go free out to our Boy's in Iraq & Afghanistan "how cool is that"
