USA States with no local/state tax
Anyone know which USA States have no local income taxes and/or no property taxes?

But no property tax? I'd be amazed to find one that does that; would be nice if someone could prove me wrong, however!

My friends in PA pay no tax on grocery and clothes but their property tax is way through the roof.

Washington State.Montana you pay an arm and a leg for licsense plates.Also no grocery Tax in Washington.Idaho is supposed to be removing the grocery tax.
Long time coming.

no state income tax and very reasonable property taxes....
memphis aside from being shit, has prop taxes about 50% higher
sales tax is 9.25 which is a bit on the high side, but most big purchases I get off the internet anyway and avoid tax that way
great place to earn money, in fact Kiplingers (like forbes) rated it #1 smartest place to live in the USA
in fact google ""smartest place to live in the USA" amd the kiplingers article comes up

Maybe, but they make up for it by taxing everything else- sales tax on food, prescriptions, services.... sky high sin tax on booze. Income tax all the way down to those who earn ~$2600/year. Very regressive tax system.

Thanks for the replies, will do some research on Nashville, TN was one of the states I was interested in. Don't mind paying sales tax as it is up to me if I buy something or not but like to have low fixed costs.
