US tax treatment of UK employer pension contributions made to a UK fund

Hi All,

Just signed up to the forum today - wish i'd have found this place sooner! Some great advice on here and I'm just about to embark of a short term move from the UK to the US.

Wondered if anyone knew about tax implications on employer pension contributions made from my employer in the UK to a UK scheme and how they are viewer by the IRS (would they see that as income on which i'd then be taxed)?
Whilst i'm being moved to US payroll it's not supposed to be a permanent move and my UK employer will continue to make pension contributions to my UK scheme. Just want to make sure there's nothing I need to be wary of here.

Just reading a lot of conflicting information so wondered if there's any practical experience here.

Thanks in advance
