US and skilled immigrants
 

United States better simplify the procedure for skilled category people to get greencard more easily, for example, Canada, Australia, New Zealand are doing.

It's long, tiresome, risky (danger of falling out of status) to be permanent resident in US for many skilled foreigners.

Because there are many universities and foreigners come here for higher education and they just try to stay here and they partly fulfil the need of skilled people in the US. But on the part of the US government, there is not due consideration to these kinds of people. H1 visa is there, but many foreigners are in fear of losing their status and so they are living under fear and uncertainty. US is giving very hard time to people that it needs very much. Many times, illegal ones find short cut, like fraud marriage, asylum so on. I have seen many low skilled, illegal ones become permanent resident much sooner than many those who spend huge amount of time, energy and resource to maintain their status (like F1 in the hope of getting converted to H1 one day and permanent resident ultimately). Would it not be good to simplify the process, for example,for many University graduates?

I know there is not that much difficulty for some extraordinary people. But there are many who are really qualified and skilled but who are finding a lot of difficulty to get settled.


Don't get me wrong. I am posting it only to learn from your opinion. I know there are some people in the forum who just abominate.

Don't kid yourself. The United States doesn't need you.

Corporations just need cheap labor that's easy to exploit.

So go to Canada or New Zealand - there's plenty more where you came from.

Yeah, we know - sorry.

The policies are so insane that you may not want to even come here. We
prefer illegal aliens since they help drag down the economy.

And if you can understand the previous sentence please explain it to me.
