US Passport Blotch...

Hey all..

I finally recieved my first US passport after being naturalized.... it's awesome... one of those digital passports ..... the only problem is... All the information is correct... but my passport picture has a yellow blotch over my face... it is quite unsightful... it definately wasn't there when I sent the pictures in... anyone with photo quality digital printers might sympathise with those little imperfections you get in the printouts now and then - well, that's exactly what happened to my passport!

I'm wondering if anyone has had the same problem... or knows if the passport agency will even let me send it in to be corrected... time isn't a factor... if they'll do it for free I'll be happy to send it in... since I'll have to live with the thing for the next 10 years.. I want it to be of my own likeness - hence, blotchless...

Any ideas or comments? I'd be most appreciative.

Are you sure it's not part of the security methods that the passports use? Look
closer.. it's probably a holagram or something else as a security measure.

My wife renewed her US passport in October 2001. There is a yellow hologram of an
eagle, with arrows and olive branches in its talons, superimposed over half of her
photo and part of the identification info. This is obviously a security measure to
prevent alteration.
