US Living Trust & UK IHT
I read that in 2006 a law was passed in the UK, that any UK domiciled persons, regardless of their usual place of residence, are immediately liable for UK Inheritance Tax the moment they form a trust. There was some speculation as to whether a revocable trust, such as in the US would trigger this ruling. I was wondering if anyone had got into difficulties over this yet, or has any information about it?
