had my son drug free so that's not what worries me- more having the baby on a trolley in the corridor, my sister and mum that have had one baby in US and one in Uk each tell me US care is far better :scared: Thanks for easing some worries for me though- wouldn't mind a bit of gas and air!

Never heard of a baby being born on a trolley. Would've thought hospitals woul give as much privacy as possible for that, so think it's extemely rare. I'm sure you'll receive the best care and home visits afterwards can't be beat.

UK has the best after care re babies anywhere period. Having done a small stint in midwifery and my sister is one, never heard that horror story, the only way I could think it was true if they got to the hospital late and on way to delivery suite delivered on trolley and the story morphed.

You only hear about the horror stories...I wouldn't worry too much. Loads of people told me of long, painful labours with their first baby...mine lasted about 6 hrs from the start to finish.
