US gets tough on illegal hiring
Lets see how much of an example they make of the executives that hired these illegals. Hopefully this is the start of a major crackdown.

Yeah good point. With half of the Board of Directors of major US corps being made up of senators it won't happen. Or if it does they'll get enough warning beforehand to clear them out.

The Government gets what the Government wants. They want a mass of low paid workers coming across the southern border, if they didn't then they would actually do something about it.

Certainly it's no surprise that it's so very difficult for a highly-paid worker like me, on an H1-B visa, to get here in the first place, stay here and ever have a hope of getting a GC.

Story I read was that the political pressure was such that the ICE officer in charge was sacked.
