Hi,

I called the US Embassy today on their 0207 355.. etc number regarding matters to do with my application for an IR-1 visa. After the lady just repeated to me what I already knew - about the I-130 petition being filed 5th May, Approved 17th she mentioned something about a backlog in the visa branch. This directly affects me since I sent an OF-230 to them at the same time as an I-130 app to the INS/London.

Consequently I hadn't received a case number or a document checklist, they're sending out a whole packet 3 for some unknown reason. I did get a case number though so it wasn't a completely wasted call. - Is that mail strike still going on in the UK?

Does anybody else know about the IV Branch backlogs - or is it one of these we haven't done it yet, therefore we're horribly backlogged kinda things. (? Homeoffice IND ? )

Anyways, Regards to all!
James.

PS. Their hold music really should be replaced!

Was it the same few bars of The Corrs singing "So Young" again...? I didn't feel so
young after a few minutes of it.

Shawn.

Do you happen to have the last four digits of that number? I would find them extremely useful.

Thanks,

Mike.
