US diplomatic properties up for sale

UK sites (BBC/Sky) are reporting the US Embassy in London closed last month and is up for sale, with a suggested move to Isleworth or Greenwich. AP says that is it just an annex to the Embassy used by the US Navy.

The embassy website doesn't mention it and one of their latest press releases talks about the embassy just converting to 100% green energy. It wouldn't surprise me though if it did move due to security reasons.

There's a total of 29 properties up for sale worldwide. Anyone fancy a bid?

Sounds like they're just selling the navy building now, but thinking about possibly moving.

They'll do anything to get out of paying that congestion charge won't they?

Anyone can buy a used building--but a deserted island airstrip and nuclear weapons testing facility (with a dash of chemical weapons disposal)--we're talking tropical paradise.

And it too is for sale...

Perhaps we should all chip in and buy it, relocate a few there and try to establish the 51st state! It could be a tax haven.
