Isabel is an unknown quantity at this point
Default US Citizenship

I'm a British Citizen working in Atlanta for an American company on an L1 visa. The initial visa is valid for 3 years, renewable (I believe) for a further 2 years. I've been in the US for almost a year and would like to apply for a green card (or citizenship) now - does anyone know the parameters that make an "alien" eligible for a green card and/or citizenship? Thanks.

You can't apply for citizenship outright, first you have to get a green card. The
ways to get a green card are

1. Employment
2. Family
3. Refugee
4. Investment ($1,000,000 or so)
5. Don't remember

From what I understand your best bet is #1. You'll have to talk to your employer
about it though.
