which US car is most similar to Toyota Corolla Verso?
We love our Toyota Corolla Verso and were hoping we'd be able to buy the same model in the US but we've discovered they don't sell it there, only in Europe. Bit of a long shot but does anyone know which car would be the most similar?

Try Toyota Matrix - it's a crossover and the closest to Verso.

Thanks :) sorry, its Japanese cars all the way for us. We've had our 2002 car for 4 years now with no trouble ever.
We won't touch American cars with a bargepole! |

I don't mind if they're made in the US (no idea where my own Toyota was made, guessing they don't ship them all from Japan) but cars made by US brands have a terrible reputation.

OH, who used to work in the car industry has always driven US "brands" whereas I've had several "foreign" cars including Audi and Nissan...guess who's never had a problem, and it isn't me and when "foreign" brands go wrong over here they often cost a lot more to sort out:ohmy: |

IMO, the Japanese cars are the best. I prefer Honda - had my Civic 11 plus years and have had no problems with it. I've owned American cars, both Ford and GM and had no end of problems - of course this was a long time ago. The quality of American cars may have gotten better now, but I still wouldn't buy one - too many bad experiences with the American cards I've owned.

Yes, that's been our experience too. My husband had a pontiac when I met him, he HATED it! Always some problem. Then he ditched it and we got a Toyota starlet which lasted us for years with no problems. And our current Toyota has been fabulous (with an OK for the price Hyundai in between). We've more or less seen the same experience with our friends as well. So, yep, Toyota or Honda for us.

We won't touch American cars with a bargepole! My Wife drives a 2004 Pontiac Grand-Am V6 - No Problems My F-I-L drove a 2002 Pontiac Bonneville (Wide Body) with 140,000 miles on the Clock - No Problems He now drives a 2008 Buick Lucerne (Absolutely Loaded - The Car That Is) - No Problems My Brother-In-Law drives a 1996 Chevu Silerado Pick Up Truck. He uses it to plow his 1/4 mile driveway and drives it to work on a daily basis - No Problems. The point I'm getting at is that whoever told you that American Company's cars have a bad reputation hasn't got a bloody clue what they are on about. Both Ford and Chevrolet have made drastic improvements quality wise over the past 15 years. You can't beat either a Ford or Chevvy Truck, if you are looking for a 4-wheel drive. Jim. |

I ditched it in 2005 and bought a brand new Honda Accord Coupe which is still going strong at 87k :) |
