While I'm all for bashing Trump when he deserves it, these measures were proposed and came into effect prior to Trump's inauguration. It seems though, that people are just now noticing.

Seems that way.

I hadn't heard of the measure until today. Not bashing Trump, just notifying that it has been approved. But you are right, people are only just starting to notice it.

This is nothing new, nor particularly about America. I have heard many stories about social media, phones and entry in to Canada.
