Nice story about a British expat in the US who was here on a basketball scholarship and is now ready to play for Team GB in the Olympics.

On moving to small-town USA:
“It was hard, going from big city to small town; I struggled. It wasn’t that the people weren’t nice, they were great, they loved my accent. ‘Have you met the Queen?’ they’d say. ‘Yeah, like she’s round my place all the time’, I’d say. ‘Really?’ they’d go,” she recalls.

Though reminds me of that story of the Londoner who moved to the US because of his dads company transfer and couldn't find anywhere to play footie and ended up getting into American Football and ended getting something like 13 college sponsorship offers after 3 matches and still not knowing the rules....Wonder how things turned out for that kid.
