I wouldn't complain about the sales tax when most of us are used to 17.5%...even though it's now temporarily 15% in the UK.

No Mo. That's from another tax called National Insurance contribution rates which both employee and employers must pay.

I wouldn't worry about it, it's not like something you'd know unless you live there as the sales tax is always included rather than something added on top of the purchase.
