I wouldn't complain about the sales tax when most of us are used to 17.5%...even though it's now temporarily 15% in the UK.

Yeah, but you get your doctor bits covered for it, so there you go. :)

No Mo. That's from another tax called National Insurance contribution rates which both employee and employers must pay.

I wouldn't worry about it, it's not like something you'd know unless you live there as the sales tax is always included rather than something added on top of the purchase.

aye, there is that...and we don't have to pay sales tax on second hand items like cars, cheeky buggers over here with that one :D
