Want to take my baby (6 months) from USA to Canada for weekend. Does she need a passport to re-enter the US, or is her birth certificate good enough? At what age would she need a passport? She's US citizen.

That's the rub - what sort of photo id can one get for a 6 month old? Both parents will be travelling with her, so that's not an issue. Seems a waste to get a passport when the picture will be useless within another 6 months!
The US immigration website doesn't offer much help. |
