Hi
I have a valid H1B visa which was stamped in Nov '2000. Due to some personal reason I was unable to travel to USA. My H1B visa is valid till NOV '2002 .

The following are my queries :

1.Could anyone please tell me if I can get my visa renewed from India without entering the USA.

2.If I don't use this H1B visa which I already have , will it be a problem for me to get a new H1B in a later stage.

1. No, the employer that did the H1 for you has to apply for the extension
in the US and send you the approval papers. You can use that to get a new
H1 stamped on your passport. You are likely to be faced with the question
about the non-use of the earlier H1.
