UK State pension Application
 

Anybody know exactly where the Application form BR1 should be posted to in the UK? This is the form used to apply for the pension just before it becomes due

I downloaded it from the web but the UK Pensions site doesn't give clear idea where to post to from USA. Emailed enquiries have gone unanswered so far. Just wondered if anyone here has already dealt with this

Can't help you with the exact question, but have you thought about calling? I've learned that when email is ignored, calling works best. It's hard for someone to ignore you when you have them on the phone, and they know the first thng you asked for is their name.

The pension Service International Pension Centre (IPC) deal with queries about United Kingdom benefits payable to overseas customers. You can contact the IPC on +44 191 218 7777 or fax +44 191 218 7293. Opening hours are 8.00 am to 8.00 pm (GMT).
