Hi everyone... we are new here but have been reading the posts since mid-summer. My US fiancee is about to file the 129F... question... does the UK police certificate actually have an expiry time? And if so, how long. I do not want to apply too early and have one 'run out' of date. Many thanks Graham/Jan

Others have posted that it is good for one year. I would go ahead and request it, as
I have seen posts that the recent wait times for this are increasing. Alvena

The waiting times for the UK police certificate aren't always long. I mailed my form
on Monday 7 Jan and had my cert in the mail on Saturday 12 Jan. I was shocked in fact
by how quickly I got it. Just thought I'd let other people out there know.

I applied for mine yesterday - 16th Jan and was told by the local police station that I should have it in 7 days. I believe they are valid for 6 months.
