Default UK pension to US bank account???

I have a small weekly, government pension that is deposited into a UK bank account....If I move to the USA, can I have the pension redirected to a USA account or do I have to forfeit the pension??

They will do a direct deposit into a US bank account. Go to their website for the paperwork you must complete to accomplish this. If the amount is small, you may want to have them make the deposit quarterly.

Or keep it in the UK and then use something like a currency exchange company do it with a fixed contracted annual rate, xe.com has been recommended for this.

Might work out better, certainly more predictable without worrying about the exchange rate, especially for a small sum.

Depends on one's situation -- if you have no UK accounts and are long gone, it is easier to just let them handle it as arrives in dollars and there is no charge at this end. Especially when it is too small to be worth worrying about exchange rates anyway!
