Default UK HMRC R105 Forms and Banks

My UK bank is now telling me that they do not accept R105 forms (Not Ordinarily Resident declaration for savings interest to be paid gross). Instead they tell me that I should claim tax back direct from HMRC.

Has anyone else had experience of this?

Yes, I tend to find that so far HMRC have refunded the tax without a problem.

I'd move my savings account to a bank that does accept R105. Or better still, move the money to the USA.
