I know its not actually British but I got Haloumi cheese from our gourmet food store yesterday, $8.00 for a small piece! Haven't had any since I left England over 6 years ago.

Congrats! I cannot find Haloumi cheese anywhere here! Someone thought Trader Joe's might have it, but I can't find any in our branch. I shall have to look for a gourmet foods shop.

I've seen it there, but they don't always have it, should ask and they might be able to get it.

Not sure if this is the correct place to post but... just tried the fish n chips at Thousand Oaks Fish and Chips. So bloody good. The cod is lovely. Never wanted to try it since the place seemed kind manky to me but my friend convinced me and it's a YAY!

I used to come across British sections in stores in Va (Robinsons, Oatcakes, HP sauce, custard) etc. Everything was pricey though!

One thing I will need to plan for is sourcing out Irn Bru when I move! I'll really miss being able to pop to my Asda etc to get it. Anyone know of good places in Virginia to buy it, or a website that I could use???

Like I said, they're made in Ontario, not the US. The chocolate is a bit crappier, I will admit.

During our essentially fruitless search for "real" bacon within a 200 mile radius of our house, we've come across an uncured version of Oscar Mayer bacon that my OH says is much more palatable than anything else we've found. He even likes it as a "bacon sarnie"! It doesn't qualify as "UK Foods", but we thought others might be interested.

Not sure if this is helpful but you can get it in Canada no problem, most supermarkets have it. I know my local Loblaw's has it. So if you're going to get someone to mail it to you, cheaper to get it from Canada, I would think. Don't often see Tizer though, but I have seen it.

Fresh and Easy has Ribena, Robinsons, various chocolates, and what I was most delighted to find, back bacon amongst other things.

The Wine and Cheese, shop in Concord, MA.

Had loads of Brit goods scattered around and then a big box of things that had reached their sell by dates, stuff like tea, chocolates and sauces, those were going cheap.

Also an amazing collection of cheese.
