Re: UK Foods in the US Share your finds!
Can't believe I only just found this great thread. I just started an almost identical one in the Trailer Park section of the boards, had no idea you guys were talking about the same stuff:

Anyway here's my tip for anyone wanting to get their hands on Prawn Cocktail flavoured crisps like they had in England. Try Lays Tangy Carolina BBQ flavour- they taste very very similar. Anyone agree? Not proud of myself, but I went through an entire big bag in one day last week.
Question: do they still make Pot Noodle in the UK? And is it possible to get it anywhere in the US?

If you want really shite food, ramen noodles are sub-pot noodle fare.

...same company, lower quality. The crisps are thinner and greasier. I think it's something to do with the variety of potato used, the best spuds are grown in cooler climates. Britain has a huge range of good varieties of potato, whereas the US and France (Lays there too) don't. We used to be able to occasionally get some exported Walkers in France and it was a treat, because generally Lays is nasty.

Have to agree nothing like a bag of Walkers they make the best crisps or potatoe chips I have ever had on my travels...but I do like Ruffles the crinkly crisps
