Costco in NY/CT have Cropwell Bishop Blue Stilton cheese back in for the holidays. I'll be on the lookout for real Crumpets on my next visit.

I want Walkers Baked Salt and Vinegar crisps, but can only find those online. Wish there was a store with those.

I don't understand why anyone would want Walkers Baked anything - they taste like cardboard

I was going to say that with the way that Frito-Lay ( the Pepsi owned US copy of Walkers or vice versa) have been expanding their range recently it might not be long before they hit the shelves but that probably doesn't help you much if you're in HK!

Most everything I buy ends up being expired. It's not my job to check expiration dates as a customer I expect everything to be fresh and dated. Seven Eleven a Big No!

I am going to disagree with your comment about American cheese, true the slices of processed muck offered at most supermarkets are only marginally more palatable than the wrapping but there are some absolute gems to be found out there. Tonight I shall be sampling a Californian Cypress Grove goat cheese with a thin layer of ash in it's middle (Before the joker's butt in, the ash is supposed to be there!!).

Walmart sells Cabot's in useful chunk sizes and their Extra Sharp and Seriously Sharp are no worse than your average UK supermarket Cheddar.
I'm with you sir, Publix has a small range of goodies, just enough to keep the inner Brit happy, and as far as cheeses go yeah generally US cheeses are as tasty as the slip sheet between the slices, but I've been impressed with the Cabot stuff, Publix cheeses vary, I got some Double Gloucester that wasn't too bad and aged for 18 months which gave it a bit of a bite.

It's pretty consistent in NY / CT Costco - definitely the past 4 Decembers. Keeps for a good amount of time too!

Fred Meyer is currently selling orange flavoured Pimm's (not the drink, the little cherry cakes) which are pretty similar to Jaffa Cakes.

There are plenty of good cheeses in the US. You generally won't find them in national or regional supermarkets. You have to look for them in gourmet stores - most areas in the US have them but you have to search them out online. I use Sickles in New Jersey which has a wonderful selection of midwestern and NY state cheeses as well as cheese from the UK, France, Italy, etc. I hate to bang on about this but you have to PAY for good cheese. If you want inexpensive cheese, you can buy Kraft cheese at Aldi's. Take your choice.
