UK degree equates to ? in the US

I know this has been addressed here before but after browsing through 20 pages I can't find it: am looking for a/the link to a/the website that explains how to translate one's UK college degree to the proper US equivalent. I believe there are some differences.

Cheers everyone.

Usually best to find out what the employer/college will accept, or use, first.

For what purpose? For an employer, or admission to a doctoral program?

Employer/CV purposes. UK hubby has a BA in Social Policy Administration (with honors, I think) from the University of Plymouth and he's wondering what that might be equivalent to in the US - if there's a difference at all.

We'll check out the websites provided. Cheers everyone.

If its only for a job just put BA in Social Policy Administration (Honors) and then the university. All the interviews I went on they assumed that I have got a high GPA when I did that. The only reason I could see you paying to get it translated is if somebody specifically requests it.

Cool! I wonder what my wee BSc in Psychology (with Distinction, no Honours) translates to. The reason I didn't finish the Honours part was because I attending evening classes whilst working a full time job, so I couldn't bring myself to stay another year (I already did 5 years evenings...).

After all that effort I dont even work in Psychology, what a plonker....
