UK Chocolate bars in New York....
I discovered a cafe called Printon 56th yesterday on 56th between 5th and 6th Ave....they have pretty much every English chocolate bar you can think of. Bounty, Double Decker, all the Cadbury bars, Lion Bars, even Polo mints! Just though I'd mention it incase anyone is after English chocolate!

All of the above will also be available in the Irish section of Riverdale in the Bronx and the Woodlawn Bronx/Westchester area. Also available in those areas will be homemade Irish dark breads, Heinz beans, bisto, bird's custard, digestives, etc. You can also purchase meat products in those areas, i.e. bangers, steak and kidney pies, etc.

"The standard Hershey chocolate recipe is a distinctly American taste (at least in comparison to most natively European chocolates); those accustomed to other brands of chocolate have been known to accuse it of having an unpleasant taste and aroma. Hershey bars generally have lower cocoa contents and higher sugar contents than European chocolate bars."

I've gotten hooked on Green and Black's chocolate in the UK; have no idea where they are from (maybe even the U.S.) but glad they're in both places!

I was heading down Broadway in the Bronx last weds at about 04.00 am and stopped at the all night deli just before the elevated railroad and saw some of those delicious square dark chocolate bars (can't remember the name) .. all the flavours they do back in the UK including that amazing Marzipan one
