Default UK broker for new US resident

Hello,

I'm looking to move to the US in the next few months and was wondering which brokers allow you to continue to hold ISA & SIPP accounts with them? While residing in the US I don't intend to contribute to those accounts - I just don't want the broker to close my accounts as a US resident

I'm currently with Interactive Investor and they gave me a vague response

If you relocate to the USA we would require that you inform us so
we are able to update your address details. Once your address has been updated
our account management team will be in touch to request further information.
Once this extra information has been received they would then make a decision
on whether or not we are still able to provide you with a service. I understand
you are looking for a definitive answer, however, these situations are dealt
with on a case by case basis so I am, unfortunately, unable to provide a more
specific answer.
Trawling through the message boards it seems Hargreaves Lansdown allows it but their charges seems quite high

thanks in advanced!

Liquidate them and get shut before you move.

AJ Bell, and their charges are much lower than Hargreaves Lansdown.

Consider the tax implications of an ISA; it may be preferable to liquidate it.

You'd want to sell all the PFICs before moving to the States.

Thanks for that, yes the plan is to sell all PFICs (index trackers) and plan to only hold shares since they are dividend paying. Any issues with leaving them in my ISA?

thanks
Jon

There will be no tax advantage.

I would Second AJ Bell;
I have my SIPP there and they have been perfectly comfortable with me residing in the US
