Do you think that brits are boring compared to other nationalities ??
I guess different nationalities just have a different sense humour and a different way of having fun whether we find it fun is a whole other story.

How canpeople in the UK be the most boring when everybody else says we have the best sense of humour? I went to Switzerland and to Germany and they are as boring as s**t there!

Does that mean the UK is more boring than Belgium?

i know a belgian guy who lived in the UK for 4 yrs and he doesn't have a single good thing to say (ever) about the UK.. so i won't be defending belgium

Belgium sucks! (or maybe it's just this one guy... but he's the only reference i have!)

well... i don't know about that (maybe the swiss ) ... the germans seem to find each other very funny- i never seem to get the jokes though....
i'm not sure you can say one sense of humour is the 'best' when they are so different (see britontour!). Of course, i think MINE is

So true and today my 14 year old daughter said something which really made me think.
Since moving her she really struggled to make friends, she has loads now but it's taken almost a year for that to happen but last week an English girl started at her school. Today she said that in two days, she already feels like she's known her for years, something that took much longer with her American friends but rather than say its because Americans are boring, different etc etc she said its because she has been the one to put up those barriers and in effect stopped herself from becoming friends with these people much quicker. She sais she was always too wary of them because they were American and she was English and she felt like the odd one out even though they didn't make her feel this way. Could this be true of the rest of us?

woodsey, i remember reading a post of yours a while ago about people back home not staying in touch etc... i don't know if you agree but i feel like a foreigner here, but now that i've been away a while, i'm not really accepted at 'one of them' in the UK any more either.

I'm still very happy that i ventured out of wigan though!
yes I agree I do still feel like a foreigner here and home (the UK), well just doesn't feel like home anymore, I'm going back for a couple of weeks at the end of March and for the first time, I'm not actually that arsed about going, apart from my family I actually find it as dull as dish water although some of my family can be described as the same..

and yes the thought of ever having to go back to Huddersfield to live makes me want to cry..

Does it matter? Brits don't think they're boring,... and they're the ones that have to live with each other, so as long as you guys are laughing, who cares what the people in other countries think? Most of the people that answered that poll have probably never been anywhere but their own country, and probably don't know a Brit personally. Polls like that are answered based on stereotypes... not personal experience. They're useless, mind-numbing, wastes of time and money, and serve no purpose other than to stir more shit between people of different nationalities.

Personally.... I love you Brits... can't get enough of ya!
Remind me to get my own ID later... Patricks gonna get pissed off with this.
