U.S. seeing record births
New York, NY (AHN) - While a majority of developed Western nations are struggling with declining population growth rates, the U.S. has a baby boomlet underway.
Provisional data from the National Center for Health Statistics released Wednesday said 4.315 million babies were born in the U.S. in 2007. The basis of the NCHS baby count were birth certificate data collated from state health departments, but there are no other details on the unusually high birth rates.

War is peanuts compared w/ everything else. It will end soon anyway, since violence is way down and there is talk of withdrawal. Not to mention future president Obama.
But this is good news, since it means that the US will be the only fast growing developed country in the world. For us expats, this can only mean greater job opportunities.

It means greater job opportunities because the economy needs to expand to accomodate more people. More schools, hospitals, banks, homes, roads, etc.

Not mostly. More like 40%. And secondly, these hispanic children quickly learn English anyway. I live in Miami, and I know that by the second generation, English is the main language.
