U.K. passport renewal in U.S.

I have resident alien status here in the US. I have an expired U.K. passport. Whats the procedure to renew it ? Can I print out a form and mail it to where it has to go.

I live in the U.S and had to re-new my passport last year.

go to www.britainusa.com
click on passports, and download the C1 form.

At the time it was $85.95 inc postage back. I used Fedex, sent the paperwork, photo's and old passport on Monday morning, had the new passport (and old passport) back by friday afternoon the same week, its a piece of cake.

I also went to Kinkos to get my passport photo's done that cost me $17.00.

Yes, I have just done this. Print the forms from the British Embassy site and send along with your old passport/fees to the Passport Office at Constitution Circle in DC. All the info is on their website.

It only takes a few weeks too. :)
